Here’s what visitors have to say about their Greets!
“Jerry is a Legend”
Big Apple Greeters are a must if you come to NY. Had a wander around Brooklyn and grabbed a pizza at the famous John’s Pizzeria on Bleecker St with Jerry. What a fantastic service and a great individual. He really knows his history and has loads of local knowledge being a Brooklyn local.

We had an amazing Greeter who showed us around the Lower East Side. Arthur gave us a great deal of information and he made our 3 to 4 hour walk very enjoyable and entertaining. We were a family group with 4 adult children and they described our day as one of the highlights of our 3-week stay in America.

We were delighted to find out we had been assigned a Greeter having heard great things about the service. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Having communicated with Harriet beforehand and explained our interests, she had expertly tailored a tour which was perfect for us. We very much enjoyed our day with her and are very appreciative of her giving so generously of her time. The Big Apple Greeter really enhanced our trip to NY helping to orientate us and showing us places we might never have otherwise seen. Thank you very much!

“Must Do in NYC”
Seeing the sights of a New York neighborhood with a friendly local should be compulsory for all visitors! Bonnie took us on the subway and we toured lower Manhattan with her for several hours. We saw things we’d never have picked out or known about – and got lots of little snippets of local knowledge and history along the way. The stories she could add about things like Dutch settlement, 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, the Occupy protest, and Royal visits all really added to our time together and made us see the streets we toured through different eyes. Along with loads of practical advice about the subway and ferries – well we think Big Apple Greeters was the highlight of our trip.

“We now know Brooklyn”
Paul met us at our hotel, showed us the subway and then led us around Brooklyn for a few hours. Such knowledge and it was great seeing another side of New York. It was interesting to see the houses and Paul’s knowledge of the area was just great. We managed to get some great photos of Brooklyn Bridge and if ever I come back to NYC, I would definitely do a Big Apple Greeter visit again.
