Greetings to Big Apple from London Greeters
We have beautiful spring weather here and I am lucky to live next to the most attractive London Royal park namely Regents Park.
Lock down here is very different from some European countries in that we are free to go out without any police interference, though everything is shut so the parks have become a real life saver. We have to keep a social distance of 2 meters which most people stick to.
Everybody is very kind to each other and there are lots of volunteers helping vulnerable groups out with shopping and other errands.
Life here has moved to a virtual world and all sorts of activities have sprung up, such as lectures and having speakers talk to different groups.
On Monday I invited a friend of mine, who is an expert on China, to talk and in no time we had over 30 linked on Zoom for a really interesting session.
What I really miss is the whole Greeter experience as all I am doing is handling cancellations.
