I’m down in boiling hot South Florida unable to return to my beloved hometown of NYC.
It’s been 90+ for the past 3 days and the forecast is for 3 more. No beaches, walking trails, tennis courts or golf courses are opened 🙁
I’ve learned to be grateful for what I have: health, family, sanity and spectacular sunsets. I’m also grateful to be with (10 years) a wonderful group of volunteers aka Big Apple Greeter. I love being a Greeter.
Because of the heat, I walk 2 miles in early am and 2 miles at sunset. I read the NYT via the internet and I also read books. Can anyone recommend a good book?
While I can’t physically be with my children and grandchildren 🙁 I spend much time with them on Zoom and FaceTime, as I do with our friends.
We must stay (+) and 🙂
Wishing all my fellow Greeters happiness and health.
