I’m absolutely thriving in a committed relationship with a wonderful Parisian lady here in NY. I spend six evenings and mornings at her place, so I have afternoons to myself.
After I leave her, I “commute” eight blocks back to my place, well-covered from head toe and at least six feet from everybody. At my apartment, I phone several charities, helping keep them alive and flourishing.
This routine satisfies my hermit instincts, but doesn’t satisfy my partner’s more social needs.
So, she set out to interview three cats: eight-year-old Masha, four-year-old Suki, and three-year-old Pixel.
As it turned out, Masha was moody, Suki never showed, and that left Pixel, a female Tuxedo cat who magically bonded with my Parisian lady.
Pixel finds her much bigger apartment perfectly acceptable.
And, best of all, my partner and I have found just the right mix of togetherness and apartness.
Keep safe everybody. New York is still a wonderful town.
