How to Create a Fundraiser on Facebook

Step 1

There are a few simple steps to create a fundraiser on your Facebook Page:

• Click here to start: facebook.com/fundraisers/

• Click the Select Nonprofit tab from the two options as seen below.

• Type Big Apple Greeter in the search bar and click on us to create the fundraiser.

Step 2

On the left side, accept the default info or personalize your fundraising page. Here are some suggestions:

• How much money do you want to raise? Our primary goal is to raise awareness of Big Apple Greeter. By creating a fundraiser for us, you will be doing just that. Set a goal you are comfortable with and tell your friends that donating as little as $10 is great. Every interaction with your fundraiser raises our social media presence.

• When should the fundraiser end? Set an end date of December 2, 2021.

• Why are you raising money? Here’s a suggestion for you to copy and paste:

  I'm raising money and awareness for Big Apple Greeter this Giving Tuesday, my favorite nonprofit! No matter how much you give - $5 or $500 - Facebook will match your donation up to $8 million and waive all processing fees. Thank you for your support.

• Click CREATE and share with all your Family and Friends!
