Merrie L. Davis Gets Things Done.
Will you join her in ensuring the future of Big Apple Greeter?
Merrie L. Davis founded, published, and marketed IN New York Magazine, maps and other publications including WHERE NY, which were all targeted to reach the visitor market and were distributed through Hotels both in room and at the Concierge desks, on the Cunard lines in all the cabins, and over 300 other points of distribution.
Ten years ago, Merrie left the Hospitality Industry and made a career change into the Theater world and is now a TONY & OLIVIER Award Winning Creative Producer. She has produced numerous shows both on Broadway and in London: COMPANY, PARADE, CABARET, The Who’s TOMMY and others. One of her new shows is WORKING GIRL which will be coming to Broadway in 2025.
Merrie is also a Co-Producer on New York City’s remarkable Museum of Broadway; 26,000 sq. ft. of the Past, Present and Future of Broadway, and she’s involved with its Marketing and Promotion.
Merrie joined the Board of Big Apple Greeter 30 years ago because “There was no one there from the media world and I knew I could help make a difference.”
Then, when Big Apple Greeter created the Founder’s Visionary Circle in 2018, Davis immediately decided to name Big Apple Greeter in her Will because “When you love what an organization does and stands for, you want to know that it’s going to be able to continue its mission.”
Now, she is encouraging you to show your love for New York City by making an inheritance pledge to include Big Apple Greeter in your will or trust or name it the beneficiary of any financial holding.
Merrie will immediately donate $500 in thanks for every inheritance pledge that Big Apple Greeter receives this August, National Make-a-Will Month.
You are not only creating a legacy—you are ensuring the continued success of Big Apple Greeter’s mission to create a friendlier, kinder, and more navigable New York City for visitors in the future.
Like Merrie L. Davis, you are getting things done—today, tomorrow, and for years to come!
